Oh So Close !!!

January 11, 2008 / by oldfatguy

Let my class out early last night, no real reason. Arrived home and with nothing better to do, started watching the GOP "debate." What a surprise, Ron Paul talking about the US economy, and he is 100% correct and making sense; way to go Ron. But wait, too late, there he goes ranting and raving off into dreamland along with the conspiracy kooks, looking for ET and Alf. For a few minutes, I was really impressed with his intelligence, and then, poof - all gone, up in smoke. What a shame that he can not think BEFORE he speaks !!!!

Most people think Thompson won the debate and he got in some good hits on McCain and the Huckster. As always, Romney looked the most presidential.

I really like Fred, but he seemed almost too flippant.McCain can not overcome his liberal-sided voting record and ambiguity. Huckabee the Bible thumping Huckster. Guiliani was where? Where was he?
Romney looks and acts the most "presidential" but if elected, who will be pulling his strings and leading him? Inconsistancy of rhetoric - past/present!

Unfortunately, I've experienced similar moments with all the GOP candidates. I like a piece of each of them, but no one in their entirety.

Would you care to be specific about exactly what Ron Paul said which was so offensive to you?

You sound like a Rush puppet to me ... anyone who thinks that our political system is free of conspiracies is living in a naive dreamworld ...

You right-wing nuts who think the Republican Party is some sort of living god are the most narrow-minded and facile bunch of sheep I have ever encountered ... your party is all washed up ... it should be referred to as the Debt Party ... [HEART][LOL]

Our political system IS full of conspiracies, I spent 35 years involved in every way. I am still a democrat - what Black Man Isnt't? But I do not like or trust anyone in the hierarchy of either political party - I just prefer the GOP agenda of today and the last 20 yrs. as compared to the DNC's.

Blogster seems to be incapable of designing a blog site that allows for making direct replies ... so ... here is my reply, Oldfatuy :

Both parties are generally lacking in real leadership, because, other than Barack Obama and Ron Paul, the members of the Dumb and Dumber Parties are too busy lapping up the bribe money which is tossed to them by the Military Industrial Complex ...

Jefferson and Lincoln warned us about what would result from legalized bribery if it is allowed to persist long enough ... the future they described is NOW ...

Vote for Dinosaurs if you wish ...

I'M VOTING FOR CHANGE IN 2008 ... BARACK OBAMA ...

Where was your beloved GOP when OBAMA was speaking out against the evils of bribery and its attendant war-mongering???

Maybe the GOP was too busy gettin' a blow-job from those hookers who were bought and paid for by tax dollars ...

    See        hookergate and duke cunningham

Just do a little google search and find out why Bush really fired Federal Prosecutor Carl Lam ....

Your party is the party of the corrupt status quo , OldFatGuy ...

Go on a diet ... a TRUTH diet, sir ... Surprised

Yes, my party is the party of the corrupt, I am Registered Democrat. And for that reason, is why I usually - but not always - vote republican !!!!

  • amerigobard said 6 months ago

Both parties whore themselves to the highest bidder ... there are a few decent Republicans and a few decent Democrats, but most of the people who hold elected offices in Washington DC are simply opportunistic thugs with briefcases and giant egos ... they sell out to the big money interests while they screw us taxpayers ... all under the ultra-liberal or "neo-conservative" guise of helping us ... if delude yourself into thinking the Republicans are better than the Democrats, you diregard the fact that our current bribe-magnet Dictator-in-Chief has spent more of our money than ALL previous Presidents combined ... not very conservative, Uncle Tom, is it?
